I’m pleased to share this guest column published today by Barrett & Greene.
This piece is about truth-telling, not alarmism. Economic instability, technological disruption, climate stress, and public distrust are not abstract forces. They are colliding in people’s lives every day. The question is whether our public systems are being designed for the world we are already entering.
Human services are not peripheral to that challenge. They are part of the foundational infrastructure communities need to absorb shocks, adapt to change, and hold together under strain.
Thank you to Barrett & Greene for the opportunity to contribute to this conversation with state and local leaders.
